Leaving Cuba

Bear: the sky always looks amazing when you're somewhere else.
Me: The sky looks just as amazing at home.  It's the same sky.
Bear: Yeah, but that's boring old home sky.  This is Cuba sky.

The same sky, 10 minutes later.

As we were on our way out of Cuba, every Cuban we ran across suddenly had Canadian dollars they wanted to change for CUC, at a 1:1 ratio (a profit for them).  We changed $20 for the man at the airport check in counter and he helped us jump a very long queue for paying airport tax.  It pays to be nice and generous.

Cuba proves that airports are the same everywhere.  We paid 10.50 CUC (about $13) for two diet Cokes (Coke Light) and a can of Pringles.
